Indian Motorcycles has revealed the latest addition to its Chief Cruiser line-up for 2025, the Sport Chief RT, which is the sportiest model.

Indian Sport Chief RT: What’s new?
The Sport Chief RT is an addition to the existing Sport Chief. It features the same Thunderstroke 116ci (1890cc), air-cooled, V-twin engine as other Chief models and produces 156Nm of torque. Interestingly, this is a reduction in torque compared to the Sport Chief, which makes 162Nm.
In addition, the Sport Chief RT is the only motorcycle in its line-up to offer inverted forks up front; these KYB units are non adjustable. It gets twin Fox shocks at the rear, these are remotely adjustable for compression and rebound. It runs on a 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheel setup wrapped in Metzeler Cruisetec tyres.
Braking duties are handled by twin Brembo 4 piston calipers up front with dual channel ABS, and these are radially mounted as opposed to the axially mounted calipers on other Chief bikes.
The Sport Chief RT builds on the same feature list as the standard Sport Chief and gets premium components from the factory which were otherwise optional. It gets all-weather Locking Rigid Saddlebags with 37 litres of combined storage; they are available as an accessory across the other Chief models.
In terms of features, it gets a 3.97-inch touch operated TFT display. It can be used to access a host of information such as select music, control audio settings, and access bike and ride information with 2 different gauge styles to choose from. In addition to touch operation, it also gets handlebar controls to make things easier on-the-move. You can also cycle between 3 ride modes - Sport, Standard and Tour. The Sport Chief RT also gets keyless ignition.
In terms of design, the Sport Chief features more aggressive styling compared to other Indian offerings highlighted by a small visor above the front bikini fairing and taller handlebars. Up front, It gets an adaptive LED headlight that monitors the bike’s lean angle to optimise illumination.
