Toyota Glanza now offers 6 airbags standard, adds Prestige Edition pack
Toyota has updated the Glanza hatchback with a significant safety upgrade, offering six airbags as standard across all variants. This enhancement, which was previously limited to the higher-spec G and V trims, now extends to the entire lineup, E, S, G and V, without any increase in the car’s pricing.
The Glanza continues to be priced between Rs. 6.9 lakhs and Rs. 10 lakhs (ex-showroom). The hatchback shares its platform and mechanicals with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno but differentiates itself through Toyota-specific styling and dealership support.
In addition to the safety update, Toyota has also introduced a new Glanza Prestige Edition. This is a dealer-level accessory pack available exclusively on petrol-manual variants of the Glanza. It includes cosmetic enhancements such as chrome and silver exterior accents, ORVM and tail-light garnishes, side mouldings, and illuminated door sills.
Mechanically, the Glanza remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 90 HP, 1.2-litre petrol engine, offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Toyota also offers a CNG-powered version, expanding the car’s appeal to a broader customer base.
While the Prestige Edition aims to offer a more premium visual experience, its availability is limited to the petrol manual versions, which are priced between Rs. 6.9 lakhs and Rs. 9.82 lakhs (ex-showroom).
