
MG has taken the wraps off the Majestor, its most rugged and largest SUV yet for the Indian market. Positioned above the Gloster, the Majestor is aimed at buyers looking for a full-size, ladder-frame SUV with strong road presence, a feature-rich cabin and off-road capability.

1. When will the MG Majestor launch in India?
Bookings are open; prices due in April

Bookings for the MG Majestor are currently open at Rs 41,000. MG has confirmed that prices will be announced in April 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in May 2026.
The brand has also announced early-bird benefits for the first 3,000 customers, which include a 5-year/unlimited-kilometer warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance and a 5-year labour-free service package.
2. How many variants will the MG Majestor be available in?
Four variants across 4x2 and 4x4 options

MG has confirmed that four variant options will be available: Sharp 4x2 (7-seater), Savvy 4x2 (7-seater), Savvy 4x2 (6-seater) and Savvy 4x4 (7-seater). The exterior colour options available with the new MG Majestor include monotone shades such as Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey and Metal Ash.
3. What engine and gearbox does the MG Majestor get?
Single diesel engine with automatic gearbox

The MG Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 215.5hp and 478.5Nm of torque, the same four-cylinder mill powering the higher variants of the Gloster. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Both 4x2 and 4x4 versions are offered, with the latter getting triple differential locks and 10 selectable off-road modes. MG also claims an 810mm water-wading capacity.
4. What does the MG Majestor look like on the outside?
Tall, wide and imposing

The Majestor has a very rugged and muscular design. Up front, it gets horizontal and vertical LED DRLs, tri-beam LED headlamps and a large grille. The bumper is chunky and and gets a pronounced skid plate that underline its rugged intent.
In profile, the SUV gets 19-inch alloy wheels, prominent wheel arches, side steps and roof rails. At the rear, there’s a connected LED tail-lamp strip, dual exhaust outlets and a upright tailgate that reinforces its full-size proportions.
6. What is the MG Majestor’s interior like?
Practical and spacious

The MG Majestor features an all-black cabin with leather upholstery and soft-touch materials across key touchpoints. Buyers can choose between a 6-seat layout with captain chairs or a more traditional 7-seat configuration. In both layouts, the second-row seats can be folded and moved forward to improve access to the third row.

Practicality is well covered, with multiple cup and bottle holders, storage pockets and charging points provided across all three rows. The Majestor’s long 2,950mm wheelbase also helps free up cabin space.
7. What features does the MG Majestor get?
Feature-rich interior with ADAS suite

The MG Majestor packs in plenty of comfort features, including electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage, tri-zone climate control with third-row vents, dual wireless chargers and a powered tailgate. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and a 12-speaker JBL audio system.
Tech and safety highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, six airbags, electronic stability control, a surround-view camera and Level 2 ADAS on higher variants.
8. How is the MG Majestor different from the Gloster?
Essentially, the Majestor is a facelift to the Gloster that it’s based on.

The Majestor is a more rugged and premium version of the Gloster. It gets a tougher-looking front with split headlamps, darker detailing and a revised rear with connected tail-lamps. Inside, the cabin layout is new and more upmarket, with larger screens and added comfort features like massaging seats and a better sound system. It uses the same diesel engine as the Gloster, but is positioned higher with more equipment and a stronger off-road focus.
