Hyundai has launched the new Venue over six years after the first-gen model went on sale in India. The compact SUV has been thoroughly overhauled inside and out, offering a fresh design, more premium interiors, several new features, familiar mechanicals, and most importantly, a compelling price tag. Let’s take an in-depth look at the new Venue line-up.
New Hyundai Venue price and powertrains
Starts at Rs 7.90 lakh.
The new Hyundai Venue price starts at Rs 7.90 lakh, climbing up to Rs 15.69 lakh. Much like the prior model, the new Venue rivals compact SUVs like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and more.
Hyundai offers the new Venue in eight trim levels – HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX7, HX8, and HX10 – as well as two sporty N Line trims – N6 and N10. Here’s a comprehensive price breakdown of the new Venue variant portfolio:

As far as engines go, the new Venue carries over the same options from the outgoing model. Petrol options comprise 83hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and 120hp, 1.0-litre turbocharged engines, with the former available solely with a 5-speed manual and the latter with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Diesel-automatic option added to the range.
A 116hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine is also on offer with the new Venue, with gearbox options including a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic; the latter transmission is a new addition for the Venue. It’s worth noting that the Venue N Line can be had only with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
New Hyundai Venue colours
Eight colour options in total.

The new Venue is available in six monotone colour options: Abyss Black, Atlas White, Dragon Red, Hazel Blue, Mystic Sapphire, and Titan Grey. A dual-tone finish (Abyss Black roof) can be opted for the Atlas White and Hazel Blue colours from the HX6 trim onwards too. Hyundai charges a premium of Rs 18,000 for the dual-tone finish.
As for the Venue N Line, it’s offered with the same colours barring Mystic Sapphire, though the sporty version gets an additional Dragon Red dual-tone finish.
Three interior finishes, depending on the variant.
Inside, the Venue HX2 trims come with an all-black colour scheme, while the HX4, HX5, HX6, and HX6T models feature a dual-tone grey interior. The premium blue-and-grey finish is locked to the Venue HX8 and HX10 trims, while the N Line variants get an all-black cabin with red contrast stitching.

Which Hyundai Venue variant should you buy?
HX5 turbo-petrol variant delivers great value.
The new Venue comes impressively well-equipped from the base variant itself, but value-focused buyers can consider the HX5 1.0-litre turbo-petrol variant. It offers nifty features like push button start/stop, cruise control, remote engine start, auto-folding ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, front armrest (automatic only) and of course, the all-important sunroof. For a relatively mild budget extension, the Venue HX6 trim also brings a lot of goodies to the table, but many of them can only be had with the turbo-petrol DCT and diesel AT variants.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
