Nissan has confirmed that its version of the Renault Triber will debut in India on December 18. Back in 2023, the Japanese manufacturer announced its plans for a new B-segment MPV built on the CMF-A platform shared with the Triber, a glimpse of which was shown in March 2025. It is expected to be largely similar to its Renault cousin, but will come with certain cosmetic changes inside and out.
- New Nissan B-MPV likely to be called the Gravite
- Will feature subtle design changes both in the exterior and interior
- Will get the same 1-litre naturally aspirated engine as the Renault model
Upcoming Nissan compact MPV: All we know so far
Confirmed to get new bumpers and alloy wheels

The upcoming Nissan MPV could be called the Gravite, as the manufacturer filed a trademark for the name in 2023. The new teaser image reveals that it will have a similar exterior design to the Renault Triber. The noticeable difference, however, is a redesigned bumper that features some silver trim. It could also get a new grille and fresh alloy wheels.
The headlight units look the same; however, Nissan might offer its MPV with distinct lighting elements to distinguish it from its Renault counterpart. Other than this, everything else, including the sculpted bonnet and roof rails, looks similar to the French manufacturer’s MPV. It is also expected to get a distinct rear bumper and tail light elements.
Expected to get a new cabin theme with the Triber’s design
While the cabin design of the Nissan MPV is yet to be revealed, we can expect it to have a similar look to the one in the Triber, which features a layered dashboard design and a 3-spoke steering wheel. The Nissan version could feature a different interior theme than Renault’s combination of grey and black hues.
The feature suite is expected to be similar as well, with a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display, an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, push-button start/stop and manual AC with dedicated vents for 2nd and 3rd-row passengers. Its safety suite can include 6 airbags as standard, front and rear parking sensors, hill start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a rear parking camera.
Will borrow the Triber’s 1-litre petrol engine
The Nissan MPV will be powered by the 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 76hp and 95 Nm, which is featured on the Triber and the lower-spec trims of the Magnite and Kiger. Like all these models, it will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT option. Like the Triber, it can also have a dealership-fitted CNG powertrain option.
