With prices steadily rising and the rupee weakening by the day, two-wheeler prices have largely been on an upward trajectory. The only recent exception was the GST reduction, which brought a brief price correction across the industry for models under 350cc. Even so, for some buyers, mass-market models are beginning to feel expensive.
This list of manufacturers has been curated keeping in mind factors such as public perception, popularity, sales and service reach, brand recall, and reliability.
Here’s a look at the most affordable models from leading manufacturers arranged in an alphabetical order.
1. Aprilia
SR 125: Rs 1.10 lakh
Starting this list with a brand with Italian heritage, the most affordable model from Aprilia is the recently updated SR 125. With this update, the SR 125 got a TFT dash that has been borrowed from the RS 457 and Tuono 457. Priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, it is the most affordable model from the brand that also offers the track-ready RS V4 1100 Factory in India.
2. Ather
Rizta S 2.9 - Rs 1.15 lakh
The Rizta is the Bengaluru-based startups family-centric offering. It is based on the same platform as the sporty 450-series but gets a few practical touches to support its family-centric claim such as a spacious boot, long seat and a conventional design.
3. Bajaj
Platina 100 - Rs 66,015
The humble Platina is Bajaj’s most affordable model. It is available in two engine configurations - 100 and 110cc. The 100cc model is the most affordable of the lot and also one of the more popular bikes in the price-sensitive, 100cc commuter segment.
4. BMW
CE 02 - Rs 4.50 lakh
One would think that the BMW-TVS co-developed G 310 R or its off-roader sibling G 310 GS would be the most affordable motorcycles but those models have been discontinued. Currently, the most affordable model from the Bavarian brand isn’t a scooter or a motorcycle but rather a urban-mobility EV that is listed at Rs 4.50 lakh. However, we recently covered that a few BMW Motorrad dealers are offering discounts on the CE-02, bringing its price down to Rs 2.40 lakh.
5. Ducati
Scrambler Icon Dark - Rs 10.65 lakh
The Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark was launched back in early 2025, at Rs 9.97 lakh (ex-showroom, India), however its price has gone up by Rs 68,000 post-GST. Yet it remains the most affordable Ducati on sale in India. The Dark is essentially a blacked-out version of the Scrambler Icon and is mechanically identical to it.
6. Harley-Davidson
X440 - Rs 2.34 lakh
The X440 was the first motorcycle to spawn out of the Hero-Harley partnership. As the name suggests, it comes with a 440cc, single-cyl, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 27hp and 38Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. This collaboration has recently seen the entry of a new top-variant - the X440 T - that addresses a lot of the shortcomings of the X440, including design, features and rideability.
7. Hero Motocorp
HF 100 - Rs 59,839
One would expect the world’s largest selling motorcycle - the Splendor - to also be the most affordable offering from Hero. However, that isn’t the case, Hero’s most affordable motorcycle is the HF100 that shares its engine and fundamentals with the Splendor but sits at a much lower price point.
8. Honda
Shine 100 - Rs 65,243
The Shine 100 sits at the bottom of this Japanese manufacturers list and it rivals the earlier bike we mentioned - the HF 100. Honda recently launched a higher-spec variant - the Shine 100 DX - that gets a few additional features such as - tubeless tyres, LCD dash, a larger fuel tank and chrome touches.
9. Jawa
350 - Rs 1.83 lakh
The Jawa 350 was launched back in 2024. It replaced the erstwhile ‘Classic’ Jawa in the brand’s lineup. The biggest change it got, barring the new name, was the 334cc, single-cyl, liquid-cooled engine rated for 22.5hp and 28.1Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
10. Kawasaki
W175 - Rs 1.21 lakh
The W175 is the most affordable motorcycle from this revered Japanese marque, a title earlier held by the Ninja 300. The W175 is manufactured by Kawasaki in India and also exported to markets like the US. The Kawasaki W175 made its global debut in September 2022 and is currently available in our market in two variants: a standard model with spoke wheels and the Street version (Rs 1.25 lakh) with alloy wheels.
11. KTM
160 Duke - Rs 1.71 lakh
The 160 Duke is a recent entrant in KTM’s portfolio. Serving as an entry-point in the brand’s portfolio, replacing the erstwhile 125 Duke. The KTM 160 Duke features an engine derived from the 200 Duke’s motor, with an output of 19hp and 15.5Nm. This marked a significant step up from the previous 125cc KTM unit’s 14.5hp.
12. River
Indie - Rs 1.46 lakh
The Indie is the Hoskote based startup’s only offering, however it gets a spot in this list despite being the solo offering, due to its price point. At Rs 1.46 lakh, the Indie rivals the Ather Rizta Z 3.7kWh, TVS iQube ST and undercuts it's Yamaha counterpart - the EC-06 - by Rs 22,000.
13. Royal Enfield
Hunter 350 Factory Black - Rs 1.38 lakh
The base variant of the Hunter 350 is the most affordable offering from Royal Enfield. However, to achieve this price point, it misses out on several key features that the higher variants get such as alloy wheels - missing out on tubeless tyres as well - as well as a rear disc brake, LED headlight and it also gets a narrower 130-section rear tyre. At Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), this base variant is more affordable by Rs 24,000 compared to the mid and top-spec variants.
14. Suzuki
Avenis 125 - Rs 83,793
The Avenis is based on the previous generation of the Access. It is powered by the same engine but differentiates itself with sporty styling and seating to appeal to a more younger audience. While the Suzuki Avenis has been updated to meet the OBD-2B emission norms, just like their popular sibling, the Access, it could receive a similar update soon. The Avenis shares nearly all its underpinnings with the Access – which was updated last year and features significant chassis and design changes.
15. Triumph
Speed T4 - Rs 1.95 lakh
The Speed T4 was the third model to spawn out of Bajaj and Triumph’s collaboration. It is manufactured at Bajaj’s facility at Chakan, Pune. It is largely based on the more expensive Speed 400 but gets a few changes to keep costs in check. The most notable difference can be seen in power and torque. While both bikes are powered by the same 399cc TR-series engine, they have drastically different states of tune. The Speed 400 delivers 40hp and 37.5Nm of torque, outperforming the T4's 31hp and 36Nm. In addition to that, the Speed T4 also misses features such as an electronic throttle, traction control, an immobiliser and the golden upside-down fork.
16. TVS
XL100 Heavy Duty - Rs 44,550
The TVS XL100 continues to occupy a unique space in India’s two-wheeler market as a purpose-built moped focused squarely on utility and low-cost mobility. Powering it is a 99.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops around 4.3hp and 6.5Nm. The motor is tuned for durability and fuel efficiency rather than speed, delivering consistent performance in everyday commuting and load-carrying duties. At just Rs 44,550, it is the most affordable offering on this list and costs less than a few modern smartphones too(!).
17. Vespa
Vespa ZX - Rs 1.10 lakh
The ZX is the most affordable Vespa in Piaggio’s portfolio. Priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, it is priced similar to the sporty Aprilia SR 125 that it also shares its engine with. Priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, it is available in four colour options - Matte black, red, blue and white.
18. Yamaha
Fascino (Drum) - Rs 74,910
The Fascino’s base variant that comes with drum brakes at both ends is the most affordable offering from the Tuning Fork Marque. Priced at Rs 74,910, it undercuts the next variant by over Rs 12,000 that gets an LED headlight and a wide palette of colour options.
19. Yezdi
Roadster - Rs 1.96 lakh
Much like the Jawa 350, the Roadster too is powered by the same 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The Roadster was recently updated and the most notable changes were in its design. It now sports a chopped rear fender and a swingarm-mounted rear number plate holder, giving it a more bobber-like silhouette. This also led to a redesigned tail-lamp and indicators. At Rs 1.96 lakh, the Roadster is the most affordable model in Yezdi’s lineup that also includes the Scrambler and Adventure.
