CFMoto 550CL-C leaked
It will be an updated version of the existing 450CL-C
While the brand isn’t currently present in the Indian market, this offers a glimpse of what’s coming globally for CFMoto. As the name suggests, the 550CL-C should sit above the existing 450CL-C, bringing with it a bigger engine and updated styling.
According to sources, the bike is powered by a 526cc parallel-twin engine, which is based on the 450CL-C’s unit but with increased capacity. Power output is said to be around 53hp, which would mark a notable increase of 12hp over the 450CL-C, and the top speed is listed at 165kph.
Underneath, the 550CL-C retains a similar overall layout but features key changes. Sources indicate it gets a longer aluminium swingarm, contributing to a stretched wheelbase and a slight increase in weight.
Visually, the changes are more apparent. The 550CL-C appears to feature a redesigned headlight, updated fuel tank with knee recesses, a new seat and a shorter tail section.
With the model already appearing in type-approval documents, its global debut is likely not far off, but CFMoto’s India comeback timeline remains unclear.
