The Bajaj Avenger 220 line-up currently consists of two variants – the Street and the Cruise. While both motorcycles share the same platform and engine, they differ in their styling, wheel setup and ergonomics, giving buyers a choice between a more traditional cruiser and a slightly more contemporary take on the formula.
Irrespective of the variant, both Avengers are powered by the same 220cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 19hp and 17.5Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The chassis, frame geometry and low 737mm seat height remain identical across both models, as does the relaxed foot-forward riding position.
Avenger 220 Street
Rs 1.30 lakh

The Avenger 220 Street is the newer addition to the line-up and is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It gets a blacked-out finish across the engine, exhaust and cycle parts, along with an oval-shaped headlight and a small flyscreen. The Street also rides on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, making puncture repairs easier and more convenient.
The handlebar is flatter and slightly lower than the one on the Cruise, resulting in a marginally different riding posture. At 160kg, it is also 3kg lighter than its sibling.
The Street is available in two colours - Black and Red.
Avenger 220 Cruise
Rs 1.30 lakh

The Avenger 220 Cruise is aimed at riders who prefer a more traditional cruiser aesthetic.
It features extensive chrome detailing, a larger windscreen and a taller, more swept-back handlebar. These changes give the Cruise a more classic appearance and should offer better wind protection on longer rides.
Unlike the Street, the Cruise uses wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres, although tyre sizes remain identical at 90/90-17 at the front and 130/90-15 at the rear. The spoke wheel setup contributes to a slightly higher kerb weight of 163kg.
Despite the additional touring-oriented equipment, the Cruise is priced identically to the Street at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Cruise is available with two colour options - White and Black
